Wishing You a Very Merry Christmas
It was around this time last year that I launched this blog. I remember it pretty vividly. I spent weeks putting it together- writing a few posts, playing with the layout, and picking out fonts. I was so excited about my new creative outlet that I worked late into the night, in bed next to my mom and sister while they slept. It was only when the sun rose that I’d quit typing and close my laptop.
Fast forward 365 days- I have a room to call my own and rent to pay every month. I haven’t blogged very much but my passion for writing/sharing/connecting is alive and well. It’s been a year and a half since I graduated from college, I’ve started my med school interviews, and I’ve left my full-time job. Life is a whirlwind… or a highway…
But enough about that for now. The real purpose of this post is to wish you well during this season. I hope you find a little bit of peace today amidst the holiday hustle and bustle. I hope you find time to spend with those you love (your pets, your plants, and yourself, included). I hope that if this season should bring you pain, you find a way to work through it… or sit in it… or just feel it. Do what feels right.
And perhaps above all, I pray that if you’re in a position to spread holiday cheer, that you find a way to do so. Gratitude for everything you’ve been given is best expressed by sharing it with whoever you can. That’s the stuff that matters.
Happy Holidays, mi gente.
All love always xx
